Namma Obbava is one of the most powerful heroes in the VMU Superhero Universe, rooted entirely in Karnataka's history and brought alive for a new generation.
Inspired by the real-life Kannada legend of Onake Obavva, she traces her origins to 18th century Chitradurga. At a time when invading forces attempted to breach the fort through a secret passage, Obavva stood alone in defense of her land. Armed with nothing but an onake (a wooden pestle), she struck down enemy soldiers one by one, preventing their entry and protecting her kingdom until reinforcements arrived.

Her act was not myth. It was history. She sacrificed her life protecting her people and her city.
